Strawberry jam with whole berries.


For this strawberry jam best suited small berries with firm flesh. They are well retain their shape during cooking.


● 1 kg of strawberry
● 5 cups sugar
● 2.5 cups of water
● Lemon juice 1 tsp


1. The berries go through and remove the stalk. Good wash and fold in a clean bowl.

2. Prepare a syrup of sugar and water, cool to warm and fill with strawberries. Let stand for 3-4 hours.

3. Put on low heat, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from the stove and remove the foam. Allow to stand for 15-20 minutes.

4. Return to heat and simmer until tender. Berries should darken and thicken the syrup well. At the end of cooking add the lemon juice.

5. Hot jam immediately shift into sterilized jars, close the leaking and cool at room temperature. Store in a cool place.
