Semolina Cake

Semolina Cake

Who else is not familiar with such a miracle cake as a Semolina, we propose to do it right now. Why a miracle? Because the cake is so simple and easy to prepare that even a novice cook can cope with it.

● Flour 1 cup,
● Semolina 1 cup,
● Buttermilk 1 cup,
● Sugar incomplete cup,
● Butter 100g.,
● Egg 2 pcs.,
● Baking soda 0.5 tsp.

Pour a cup of semolina with buttermilk. Mix well and let the semolina swell, for about 40 minutes. Add the eggs, sugar, and softened butter at room temperature. All the good mix (you can use a mixer). Add flour and soda. Soda does not need to be extinguished, since the acid needed for the reaction will be given to us by buttermilk. We mix it well so that there are no lumps.

The resultant dough is put in a mold (I have a diameter of 22 cm). We put the cake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 35-40 minutes. We check the readiness with a wooden skewer or toothpick. To do this, just pierce the cake in the middle, if the toothpick is dry, then the cake is ready. Let’s cool in the form. We take the cake of their form and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Delicious, soft, crumbly and tender cake is ready!

Bon Appetit!!!
