Ruddy Triangular Pies With Meat and Potatoes

How to bake pies with meat and potatoes in the oven: classic, triangles. This baking is suitable for tea, any juice, coffee. They can be served with soups and various main dishes.


For the Dough:

● Flour — 850 gr.,
● Milk — 500 ml.,
● Eggs — 2 pieces,
● Yeast (dry) — 5 gr.,
● Butter — 70 gr.,
● Sunflower oil — 1 tbsp.,
● Salt — 1 tsp.,
● Sugar — 1 tbsp.

For the Filling:

● Beef — 800 gr.,
● Potatoes (large) — 6 pcs.,
● Bulb onion — 4-5 pcs.,
● Salt, pepper — to taste,
● Beef broth — 0.5 liters,
● Egg for lubrication — 1 pc.


In warm milk dilute the yeast, add melted butter, vegetable oil, eggs, salt, sugar, stir everything, add flour and knead the dough. Dough wrap in a plastic bag (not tightly), and leave for a while (on the kitchen table) while we prepare the filling.
For the filling, cut the meat and potatoes into cubes 1 cm., chop the onions into small cubes, add salt and pepper to taste.
Knead the dough again, and divide into the same pieces, the size of a small mandarin, about 16-18 pieces, roll the pieces into a layers, the size of a saucer, put the filling in the middle, and make the pies in the form of triangles with a hole in the middle. This hole we need will be to pour broth there when baking.
Finished pies put on a oiled baking sheet. Put in an oven heated to 200 degrees, bake for 5 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 170 degrees and bake for 20 minutes. Take out the baking sheet with pies, grease them with eggs, pour inside, into holes, broth (as much as possible), and put in the oven for another 20 minutes.
Serve hot with beef broth. Those who wish can add another broth to the pies.
