Old Fashioned Banana Pudding (from scratch)

Old Fashioned Banana Pudding (from scratch)

Homemade banana pudding recipe will never catch fire, and you’ll be so excited. Old fashioned banana pudding from scratch can be super easy!

● 1 1/2 cups sugar,
● 6 rounded tablespoons flour or 3 rounded tablespoons corn starch,
● 3 cans evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed milk),
● 5 egg yolks,
● 3/4 stick butter,
● Vanilla flavoring ,
● Bananas — I used 4,
● Vanilla Wafers.

Mix the flour or cornstarch with the sugar, then slowly add canned milk to make a paste.
Add egg yolks, mixing well, then add the rest of the milk, stirring until mixed.
Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent scorching. When it starts to thicken, remove from heat, adding the butter and vanilla, stirring well.
Have the bananas and vanilla wafers layered in a bowl or deep casserole dish. Pour the hot pudding over the bananas and cookies, making sure the bananas are covered to prevent browning.
You may want to move them around a bit so the pudding gets in all of the empty spaces.
Eat it warm or chill it then dig in.

Bon Appetit!!!
