Herring and Potato Snack

This dish will make a real sensation on your festive table.


• Potatoes — 10 pieces,
• Onions — 1 head,
• Pickled herring — 2 pieces,
• Vegetable oil — 100 milliliters,
• Mustard — 1 tablespoon,
• Lemon — 1 piece,
• Greens — for decoration,
• Grains of pomegranate — for decoration,
• Salt to taste,
• Bay leaves — 2 pieces.


First, to prepare our dish, wash the potatoes well and put them in a uniform. Add salt to taste and bay leaves. While our potatoes are brewed, we will deal with herring. Cut off the head, tail and fins. Peel off the internals and remove the spine and small bones. If desired, you can also clean the skin. Finished fillet cut into small cubes. Onions are cleaned, shredded in small cubes, add to the herring.

For filling, cut the lemon in half, and squeeze the juice from one half, add the vegetable oil and mustard, mix everything thoroughly and add it to the herring. Ready potatoes are cooled and peeled. Cut off the top, and use a teaspoon to remove the core. We stuff the potatoes with the finished stuffing. On top decorate with pomegranate seeds and sliced greens.
