Greek pie.


Vasilopita cake prepared in Greece for the New Year. It is a festive symbol of wealth and prosperity.


● Butter — 250g.,
● Sugar — 300g.,
● Eggs — 4 pcs.,
● Juice and zest of one orange,
● Milk — 125ml.,
● Vanillin — 1g.,
● Ground cinnamon without slides — 1 tsp.,
● Flour — 400g.,
● Baking powder — 1 tsp. with slide,
● Powdered sugar for sprinkling.


1. Beat the butter at room temperature together with the sugar in a lush light cream. One by one add the eggs, whisking every time.

2. Continuing to whisk, add the orange juice and milk.

3. Add the vanilla, cinnamon and orange peel. Pour the sifted flour with baking powder, mix well.

4. Pour into a mold with a diameter of 23 cm, the laid oiled paper. Bake 40-50 minutes at 180 C. Willingness to check toothpick.

5. Ready cake to cool, remove from the mold and sprinkle with sifted icing sugar.
