Gingerbread cookies: cooking recipe.


Homemade gingerbread cookies — a traditional pastry in the New Year and Christmas.


● Βutter — 125g.,
● Sugar — 100g.,
● Ηoney — 125g.,
● Εgg yolk — 1 pc.,
● Flour — 375g.,
● Ground ginger — 1 tsp.,
● Ground cinnamon — 1/2 teaspoon,
● Ground nutmeg — 1/2 tsp.,
● Soda — 1 tsp.,
● Icing sugar for decoration.


1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

2. Beat softened butter with sugar until fluffy light weight. Add the honey, egg yolk and beat well again. Gradually add flour, ground spices, and baking soda. Knead the dough and send it in the fridge for half an hour.

3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out men with the aid of special molds for cookies. Carefully shift the figures on the laid parchment baking paper.

4. Bake cookies for about 10 minutes or until golden brown, cool on a wire rack.

5. Prepare the white icing. Optionally add relevant food colors shades.

6. Resilient packet filled with glaze, cut the corner and decorate cookies.
