French Baked Potatoes

A very tasty and beautiful garnish, which will be an excellent addition to meat, and maybe the main treat.


• Potatoes 1 kg.,
• Salt, pepper to taste,
• Pinch of nutmeg,
• Hard cheese 200g.,
• Egg 1 piece,
• Milk 1 cup,
• Cream 1 cup,
• Butter 4 tbsp.,
• Garlic 1-2 cloves.


1. Peel potatoes, wash, cut into thin slices.

2. Fold the potatoes in a deep bowl, add salt, pepper and nutmeg.

3. Grate the cheese on a large grater.

4. Add half of the cheese to the potatoes, mix. Whisk egg with milk and cream. Pour into a bowl with potatoes and mix.

5. Peel the garlic and cut into 2 halves. Form for baking rub from inside with garlic, then grease with butter.

6. Put the potatoes in a mold.

7. Sprinkle the top with the remaining grated cheese. On the surface, evenly spread the pieces of butter. Put the potatoes baked in a well-heated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes before a smooth ruddy crust and soft potatoes.
