Cutlets in Gravy

Such cutlets — soft, juicy and very appetizing — a great option dishes for everyday family dinner.


• 600 grams or 1,32(lb) pounds ground beef (pork or beef, or halved),
• 2 medium onions,
• 1 garlic clove,
• 1 slice long loaf,
• 50 ml or 1.7(fl oz) ounces or 0.2 cups of cream or milk,
• 1 tbsp. of flour,
• 3 tbsp. tomato paste,
• 500 ml or 16.9(fl oz) ounces or 2 cups broth or water (broth preferred),
• Oil for frying,
• Salt and pepper to taste,
• Breadcrumbs.


1. Add to mincemeat a long loaf soaked in cream, 1 chopped onion, garlic, salt and pepper, mix well.
2. Make cutlets from mincemeat, roll in breadcrumbs and fry from medium heat until golden brown, about 7-8 minutes on each side.
3. Put the patties on a plate. Add the remaining chopped onion to the pan and fry, stirring, until soft, about 5 minutes. Then add flour and fry, stirring, for another 1 minute.
4. Add tomato paste and fry until sweet smell. Pour in a thin stream of broth, stirring constantly, so that there are no lumps left. Put the cutlets in the sauce, bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes under the lid.
