Cottage Cheese Pie with Poppy Seeds

An unusual combination of cottage cheese and poppy seeds in a awesome tasty pie!


For the Dough:

● Butter — 100 grams,
● Sugar — 50 grams,
● Eggs — 1 pc.,
● Baking powder — 1 tsp.,
● Vanillin — to taste,
● Flour — 200 grams.


● Cottage cheese — 500 grams,
● Poppy seeds — 120 grams,
● Sugar — 150 grams,
● Eggs — 2 pcs.,
● Starch — 2 tbsp.


1. Melt the butter, add sugar and egg, stir, add flour with baking powder. Knead the dough, distribute it in a baking pan (covered with baking paper), not forgetting to form the sides. Put in the cold for 30 minutes.
2. Preparation of the filling: pour boiling water into the poppy seeds for 20 minutes, then drain the water by placing the poppy in a sieve. Cottage cheese wipe through a sieve or whip with a blender to remove excess granularity, add starch and eggs, mix. Divide the curd filling into two parts, one of the curd parts should be about 120-150 grams more. Add a poppy to the smaller part. If any filling is thicker, to equalize with sour cream.
3. Take the dough out of the refrigerator, put into the center one by one tablespoon of the filling: 1 spoon with poppy seeds, spread the white mass on the poppy seeds, on the white poppy seeds, etc., the filling itself will spread out in baking pan (you can gently shake the bakink pan with the contents so that the filling is evenly distributed). From the edge to the center, hold the rays with a wooden skewer to make a drawing. Send the pie to a preheated oven to 180 ºC until ready (about 1 hour). After baking, completely cool the pie and remove the sides from the mold.
