Christmas duck with baked apples.


The simplest recipe for roast duck with apples on Christmas and New Year.


● Duck carcass weight of 1.5 kg.,
● Apples — 4 pcs.,
● Large sea salt to taste.


1. Preheat oven to 120 C. Cut off the excess fat from the duck, and be sure to remove the oil gland.

2. Prick the duck skin with a fork, being careful not to pierce the meat. Generously rub the duck inside and outside the large sea salt. Then put the breast side down on the rack over baking.

3. Bake the duck 3 hours from time to time by piercing the skin with a fork.

4. After 3 hours, remove the duck from the oven. Increase the temperature to 180 C. Transfer the duck to a plate and carefully drain most of the fat from the pan. Return the duck on the grill and bake for 30 minutes.

5. Arrange the apples around the duck and bake for another 30 minutes to duck well browned.

6. Give the duck for 10 minutes, then slice and serve with the apples.
