Apple Cookies with Cinnamon and Nutmeg

Apple Cookies with cinnamon and nutmeg — This is a delicious homemade cookies with grated apple and spices — nutmeg, vanilla and cinnamon.


● Sugar — 1 cup
● Butter or margarine — 1/2 cup,
● Vanilla extract — 1/2 tsp.,
● Large apple, peeled and grated — 1 pc.,
● Flour — 2 cups,
● Salt — 1 teaspoon,
● Baking soda — 1 tsp.,
● Baking powder — 1 teaspoon.

For sprinkling:

Sugar — 2 tbsp.,
Ground nutmeg — 1/2 tsp.,
Cinnamon — 1/4 tsp.


1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. Beat soft butter along with sugar and vanilla.
3. Add grated apple and sifted dry ingredients. Knead the dough. If it seems dry, wait a few minutes for the apples to let the juice run.
4. Make balls the size of a walnut, roll them in a mixture of 2 tbsp. l. sugar, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
5. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper until the cookies turns golden brown and cracks appear on its surface.
6. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 4-5 minutes, then transfer it to the grate and cool completely before serving.
