Dauphine Potatoes

This is the name of the French potato casserole with cheese and cream. This is a gorgeous side dish to many dishes.


● Potatoes 500g.,
● Fat cream 200g.,
● Milk 100g.,
● Crushed garlic 1 clove,
● Grated cheese Gruyère or other 50g.,
● Salt to taste,
● Ground pepper to taste,
● Condiments to taste.


1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

2. Place the peeled and thinly sliced potatoes in a bowl with cold water. Rinse and dry with a paper towel.

3. Place the cream, milk and garlic in a large saucepan and bring to a gentle boil. Add potatoes, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Well season.

4. Transfer to a greased, heat-resistant, permanent mold and sprinkle with cheese.

5. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
