Mostly, we do not use citrus peel, but in vain. From it you can make an additive to tea, dry it to add to mulled wine, and more, you can make jam or candied fruits.
We offer to prepare candied fruits from orange peels for tea or for use in baking.
►Ingredients:
● Orange crust — 0.5 cup
● Sugar — 0.5 cup
►Directions:
1. Cut the orange crusts into cubes or strips, put in a saucepan. Cubes are convenient to use in baking, and the strips just have with tea.
2. Pour the crusts with chilled water.
3. Put the pan with crusts and water on the fire, bring to a boil, without removing the lid, cook for 15 minutes over medium heat.
4. Drain off the water, and rinse the orange peel with warm water.
5. Once again pour cold water, and boil like the previous time, three more times.
6. Put the crusts this time without water in the pan, and pour the sugar.
7. On low heat, cook the crusts, stirring constantly, until the moisture evaporates.
8. Put the orange candied fruits on the parchment, and after 10 minutes, when they are dry, you can use.
